Expressionist Stencils
What is an Expressionist Stencil?
An expressionist stencil is a contemporary art form completed
through various creative stages. The first stage is an original
drawing. This forms the basis for a hand cut stencil.
The skill is in cutting a stencil to reflect the concept
of the original drawing and in the interpretation of the
black and white space to capture the beauty and drama of
the natural patterns of nature. Depending on the size and
intricacy of the stencil this can take up to 6 days to cut.
Each stencil is then transferred on to fine art paper and
like each stage finished by hand. Again depending on the
client’s specification/commission, the finished art
work can take a number of days.
Each work is a unique hand crafted art piece and comes
with a Certificate of Originality. Expressionist Stencils
are only available as a very limited edition of 25, or
alternatively can be commissioned as exclusive work of
art.
The Expressionist Stencil are to be launched
in the North East as an exciting new Contemporary Art
innovation with a major exhibition in March 2007.
